Harold C. Womack, a resident of Ashford, died Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 85.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Howard Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. David Womack and Rev. S.E. Newberry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM prior to the services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International.

Mr. Womack was born August 25, 1931 in Cottonwood, Alabama to the late A.C. and Ethel Womack. He served in Signal Corp of the US Army and retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company where he worked for over 30 years. Mr. Womack was a good man who was dedicated to his church. He dearly loved his family and the Lord serving as Deacon, Song Leader, Adult Sunday School Teacher and Lay Speaker. 

Mr. Womack is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bill Womack.

Mr. Womack is survived by his wife of 60 years, Eleanor Womack; children, Janet (Clark) Sheehan, Tallahassee, FL, David (Teresa) Womack, Hendersonville, TN, Carol (Michael) Tate, Hoover, AL; grandchildren, Tera Womack, Nashville, TN, Tayla Roy (Josh), Spring Hill, TN, Tana Womack, Hendersonville, TN; great grandchildren, Trevor and Samuel Roy. Siblings, Myrias Womack, Cottonwood, AL, Morris Womack, Melbourne, FL, Bernard Womack, Ashford, AL, Shelby Womack, Dothan, AL and Lynwood Womack, Myrtle Beach, SC.
