Mr. Hermon Frederick “Freddie” Johnson, age 64, passed away at his residence on Saturday, December 5, 2015.

 

Freddie was born in Newton, AL, on October 5, 1951, to Hermon Frederick Johnson Sr. & Josie Nell Faircloth.  Mr. Johnson was a devoted son, brother, husband, dad, and friend. He served his country in the Army working with computers in the pentagon; he was also the owner and operator of Compu-Help Computer Business for 30+ years and was a long time member of the Dothan Bass Club.

 

Mr. Johnson besides his parents is preceded in death by his sister, Robin Johnson Surlo.

 

Freddie is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joyce Hawkins Johnson; two sons, Chris Johnson (Christina) of Dothan, Mike Johnson (Kelly) of Dothan; daughter, Anna Surlo of Dothan; nephew, Curtis Todd (Kara) of Dothan; nieces, Traci Todd of Dothan, and Lauren Clary of Tuscaloosa; and other nieces and nephews; sisters, Miriam Todd (Ronnie) of Dothan; grandchildren, Kayla & Kolby Johnson, Jacob & Jordan Johnson.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM, Wednesday, December 9, 2015 in the chapel of Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 9, 2015 from 10 – 11:30 AM.

 

Pallbearers will be Toby Bowman, Ashley Holder, Tommy Starling, John Gilley, Chan Elliott, and Matt Motley. Dothan Bass Club will be serving as the Honorary Pallbearers.

 

The family will be accepting flowers.
