Homer Junior Aman of Ashford, Alabama passed away at home on June 13, 2015 at the age of 88.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday June 16th, 2015 at Enterprise Baptist Church in Ashford, Alabama with Dr. David Baker officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 10:45 am prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will accept flowers or contributions may be made to; First Choice Hospice Inc, 966 Claxton Ave Elba, Alabama 36323 or Enterprise Baptist Church, 25 Enterprise Church Rd Ashford, Alabama 36312.

Homer was an active member of Enterprise Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Serving his country proudly, he was a veteran of WWII.  Dedicated to the betterment of his community, he served as a Houston County Commissioner for 16 years.  He also was one of the founding members and served as a board member of the Farmers Co-op in Ashford, Alabama.  

He is preceded in death by his son, Rodney Aman and his daughter in law, Diane Aman.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary Nell Aman, son, Douglas Keith Aman (Martha), and sisters, Roberta Miller (Grover), and Betty Southerland (Harold). grandchildren; Brad Aman (Jessica), Mark  Aman (Suzette), Doug Aman, Jr. (Ann), Mallory Wilson (Trent), and Frank Aman (Laura), great grandchildren; Emma Kate Aman, Karsten Aman, Natalie Ashworth, Nathan Ashworth, Sloane Aman, Mary Suzan Aman, Anna Mark Aman, Wilson Aman, Kate Aman, Miller Wilson, Tucker Wilson, Mallie Wilson, and Frank Aman.

Serving as pallbearers are Greg Baxley, Brad Aman, Mark Aman, Doug Aman, Jr., Frank Aman and Trent Wilson.

The family would like to give special thanks to caregiver Beverly Harris.
