Mr. Ira Chester Kelley of Rehobeth passed away Friday, May 24, 2013. He was 89.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, May 26, 2013, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Travis Free officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 P.M. Sunday, May 26, 2013, one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted.

 

Mr. Kelley was a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church. He was a farmer, furniture maker and loved cows.

 

He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Cora Kelley, and a brother, Burnell Kelley.

 

Survivors include daughter, Patricia Faye Kelley of Dothan; sons, Mike Kelley and his wife, LaMartha of Rehobeth; John Paul (JP) Kelley and his wife, Linda K. Kelley of Rehobeth; sisters, Frances Fontenot of Dothan; sister-in-law, Ora Lee Kelley of Dothan; grandchildren, Miranda Dunn, Kari Parker, Lauren Buchanan (Brad), great-grandchildren, Evan Dunn, Carli Parker, Jaci Parker, Madalyn Buchanan, Brady Buchanan.

 

Pallbearers will be: Fred Helms, John Jenkins, Keith White, Joe Mack Sawyer, Joe Collins, and Keith Wells.
