Mr. J.T. Nelson, Jr., 93, of Daleville, AL died on Thursday, August 08, 2013 at his home. 

Funeral services will be 10 am, Saturday, August, 10, 2013 at Cool Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Merlin Morris and Rev. Bryan Simoneaux officiating.  Burial will follow in the Cool Springs Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends on Friday, August 9, 2013 from 5 until 7 pm at the funeral home.  Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Road, Dothan, AL 36303.

Mr. Nelson was a member of the Cool Springs Baptist Church.  He served as a deacon and many other positions within the church.  Mr. Nelson was a veteran of WWII and retired from civil service at Ft. Rucker.

Survivors include his daughter, Elaine Nelson, Daleville, AL; 3 sons, Ronnie Nelson (Fran), Daleville, AL, Danny Nelson (Cathy), Enterprise, AL, Donnie Nelson (Melissa), Daleville, AL; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
