Mr. Jack Phillip Dinkins, age 83, a resident of Dothan, died Tuesday August 4, 2015 at his residence after a brief illness.

 A Private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

 In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 2740 Headland Ave., Dothan, Al. 36303.

 Mr. Dinkins was born on March 4, 1932 in Montgomery the son of Bradford Doby Dinkins and Esther Lee Phillips Dinkins.  He moved to Dothan from Montgomery in January 1965 and retired as sales supervisor with GMAC Financial in 1993 after 38 years of service.  Mr. Dinkins was a 1950 graduate of Sidney Lanier High School; a member of the Evergreen Presbyterian Church and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Cindy ; 3 sisters & 2 brothers.

 Survivors include: wife of 64 years, Alice Dinkins, Dothan; a daughter, Connie Hinshaw, Dothan; 2 son’s, Randall Dinkins (Amy), Dothan; Russell Dinkins (Cathi), Fortson, Ga.; 2 grandchildren, Nikki Britton & Robyn Farmer; several great-grandchildren.

 Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
