Mr. James A. Peters of Dothan passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013. He was 83.
Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 2 to 3 P.M. Saturday, April 20, 2013, one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Peters was a member of Liberty Free Will Baptist Church. He served as a deacon, Sunday school superintendent and teacher for many years.
He was a veteran of the Korean War where he served in the Army.
Mr. Peters was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Ruth Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ruth Farmer Peters and a daughter Sandra Peters Glover both of Dothan. Three sisters, three brothers, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.
