Mr. James Allen “Jim” Corbin of Airport Road, Hartford, Alabama, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015.  He was 87.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2015, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Jim Jonas officiating.  Burial will follow in the Christian Home Cemetery in Hartford with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continue until service time.

Mr. Corbin was born November 4, 1927, in Geneva County, Alabama to the late William Henry and Ora Lee Price Corbin.  He was a SGT (First Class) in the U. S. Army serving as an 82^nd Airborne Ranger.  After several years of service in supervision, he retired from Monsanto.  He later developed real estate in Union County, Georgia.

In addition to his parents, his wife, Pastine Davis Corbin, and all of his siblings preceded him in death.

Survivors include two sons: William James Corbin of Pensacola, FL and John C. Corbin of Hartford, AL; other extended family and friends.
