            Mr. James Doyle Bass of Enterprise, AL passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013.  He was 74.
            Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Friday, October 18, 2013 at Lee Street Baptist Church in Enterprise with Reverend Larry Doster and Reverend Donald Hall officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Enterprise from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.  Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the Lee Street Baptist Church Building Fund, 630 East Lee Street, Enterprise, AL 36330.
            Mr. Bass was born June 26, 1939 in Coffee County to the late James Roscoe and Mae Flowers Bass.  He retired from Alabama Power Company and the National Guard and was a member of Lee Street Baptist Church.
            Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Betty Weatherford Bass; 1 daughter: Renee Eagerton (Roger), New Hope Community; 1 son: Darren Bass (Anita), Atlanta, GA; 3 brothers: Harold Bass (Jeanette), Enterprise, Donald Bass (Nell), New Brockton, Ronnie Bass (Jan), New Hope Community; 2 sisters: Dorothy Barley, Enterprise, Iris Miles, New Brockton; 3 grandchildren: Brannen, Kaden, Emma Kate Bass, Atlanta, GA.
