Mr. James Edward Farmer, age 73, of Cottonwood passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017.                      

Born March 30, 1943 in Houston County to the late James Paul and Dovie Reese Farmer, James enjoyed spending his spare time fishing with his son.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ann Farmer; his brothers, Gene Farmer and Larry Farmer. 

He is survived by his son, Lynn Farmer; his sister, Mary Agnes Ward; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, January 6, 2017 from the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM prior to the service.

The family will be accepting flowers.
