Mr. James Edward Ross of Norman Lane, Bonifay, Florida passed away Friday, December 12, 2014, at his home with his family at his side.  He was 73.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2014, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Meadowlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Enterprise with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, December 15, 2014, from 6 until 8 p.m.

Mr. Ross was born July 3, 1941, in Holmes County, Florida to the late James Ervin and Annie Mae Brown Ross.  He proudly served his country and after 20 years of service he retired from the U.S. Army.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parent, his wife, Willie Lorene Register Ross, and one brother, Lewis Dewayne Ross, preceded him in death.

Survivors include two daughters: Tannis Ross and Stephanie Fears (Jerry Hardin) all of Bonifay; six grandchildren: Scotty Dewayne (Darlene) Raines, Jessica Ann (Brent) Walding, Crystal Fears, Christy Marie Farris, Eric James (Jillian) Salter and Christopher (Apples) Shaw; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
