 Obituary: Mr. James Noel “Red” Hatfield


 


Mr. James Noel “Red” Hatfield passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Hartford Health Care. He was 74. 


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 21 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home with Rev. Red Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in the Hartford City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing. 


The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. 


Mr. Hatfield was born January 20, 1940 in Geneva County to the late Levi Edward and Velma Lee Ellis Hatfield. 


In addition to his parents, eight brothers: Doyle, Levie, Gearld, Basil, Crawford, Edward, Danley and Donnell Hatfield; two sisters: Bernell Hutto and Clenna Sorrells all preceded him in death. 


Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Woodard (Dale), Auburndale FL; one sister: Julia Simmons, Hartford; two brothers: Wayne Hatfield (Betty), Hartford and Robert Hatfield (Jessie), Graceville, FL; three grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. 


The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Hartford Health Care for the care and love that was so freely given to Noel during his time there.
