 Obituary: Mr. James Smith 

Mr. James Smith of Slocomb passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at his home. He was 63. 

Memorialization will be by cremation. 

Mr. Smith was born December 22, 1949 in Bernice, LA to the late James Carlton and Mary Irene Oliver Smith. As a proud veteran James served in the United States Navy for over 20 years until his retirement. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and an avid golfer. 

In addition to his parents, one brother, Jerry Maurice Smith preceded him in death. 

Survivors include his wife of 41 years and his best friend, Sharon Smith, Slocomb; two sons: Mason Bradly Smith (Michelle), Panama City, FL and Aaron Joseph Smith (Maria), Slocomb; nine grandchildren: Joseph, Payden, Raymond, Lacey, Alexander, Johnathon, Marcus, Brennan and Jacob; two sisters: Theresa Ann Taylor (Walter), El Dorado, AR and Reba Nell Sylvis (Larry), West Morone, LA; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
