 Mr. Jay  J. Arnold, age 85, a resident of Hartford Retirement Village died early Friday, November 27, 2015 at the SAMC following a brief illness.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, December 7, 2015 at the Bluff Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Ashford AL. with Rev. Pat Harris officiating and Kendall Glover directing.

Mr. Arnold was born on April 14, 1930 in Dothan the son of Thomas Jefferson Arnold and Vernie Gore Arnold.  He served in the Korea and Vietnam war, he received a Bronze Star and retired SGT 1^st Class in the U.S. Army. He was also a Grand Mason and a member of the VFW. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; niece, Rhonda Burgess; grand-nephew Jeremy Danner.

Survivors include: sister, Thelma Burgess (Rusty), Ashford; nephew, Rodney Burgess (Kim), Ashford; niece, Lori Danner (Jeff), Ashford; great-niece, Haley Danner, Mobile.

Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
