Jeff Shepard, 57, died unexpectedly on January 11, 2016 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 57.

 

The celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at 3 p.m. on January 13, 2016 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Rev. William E. Bridges officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel at the Southern Heritage Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wiregrass Area Food Bank, 382 Twitchell Road, Dothan, AL 36303, Landmark Park, 430 Landmark Drive, Dothan, AL 36303 or Wiregrass Humane Society, 255 Jerry Drive, Dothan, AL 36303.

 

Jeff grew up in Hartford, Alabama, and was a graduate of Geneva County High School and Troy University.  He was employed at Southeast Alabama Medical Center for 25 years serving in several capacities including lab manager.  Jeff was an avid University of Alabama fan, and he loved photography and was a skilled photographer. He always planned and enjoyed his and Sheri’s annual fall vacations.  More than anything, he was a kind and good man who always saw the best in everyone.

 

Jeff was predeceased by his parents, William E. and Hilda Sorrells Shepard of Hartford.

 

 Jeff is survived by his wife of 32 years, Sheri W. Shepard; sister, Angie S. Anciso (Angel), of Dothan; three nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Patti Woodham, of Panama City, FL and his beloved pet, Peyton.
