Mr. Jerome Turvin, age 63 of Dothan passed away Friday, July 24, 2015.
Born September 11, 1951 in Houston County to the late Claude William and Oline Galloway Turvin, Mr. Turvin was an avid fisherman and loved working in his garden. He attended Friendship Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Tommy Turvin, Alvie Turvin, James Turvin, Limmie Gene Turvin, and Donnell Turvin; and his sister, Fannie Mae Jurkowski.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda Turvin, his daughter, Tracy (Robert) Jolley; his son, Kolton Turvin; his grandchildren, Rylan Jolley, Kaden Jolley, and Christopher Deacon; his brothers, W. C. (Linda) Turvin, Rev. Marrell (Glenda) Turvin, and Jerry Wayne (Jean) Turvin; his sister, Claudean Pypus; his sister-in-law, Charlotte Turvin; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tim Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 2 PM until service time Sunday, July 26, 2015 at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be James Manning, Jonathan Manning, Darren Turvin, Keith Turvin, Johnny Turvin, and Briston Kirkland.
