Obituary: Mr. Jerry Peterson

 

 

Mr. Jerry Peterson of Hartford passed away Monday, April 15, 2013 at Hartford Health Care. He was 69.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 18, in Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Slocomb with Rev. Jerry Norris and Rev. Ricky Hall officiating.  Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 until 8:00 p.m.

 

Jerry was born August 1, 1943 in Hartford to the late Otis Henry and Claudie Lee Byrd Peterson. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

 

In addition to his parents, a brother, Henry Peterson preceded him in death.

 

Survivors include his wife of 43 years Delores Cox Peterson, Hartford, sons: Scott Peterson (Jennifer), Hartford and Craig Peterson (Betsy), Ariton; grandsons: Sawyer and Connor Peterson, Bryce Peterson, Cody and Justin Brooks; sisters: Doris Landers (Wayne), Donalsonville, GA, Evelyn Carroll (John), JoAnn Lindsey (Charles) all  of Hartford; brothers: Earl Peterson (Evelyn),  Ronnie Peterson (Eleanor) all of Hartford, a very special aunt, Margaret Langford, Hartford; aunt, Katherine Hughes, Phenix City; uncle Fred Peterson, Slocomb; nieces and nephews; special bro-in-law, Henry Hatcher.
