Mr. Jimmy Dwight Marsh of Perry, Ga. passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014.  He was 69.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson with Rev. Sam Totten officiating.  Burial will follow in Travelers Rest Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Mr. Marsh was born in Mobile, Ala. on August 9, 1944.  He graduated from Samson High School, Class of 1963.  Prior to his retirement he was a paramedic at Houston Co. Medical Center in Warner Robins, Ga. He was preceded in death by his father, Manual Marsh; sister, Betty Carol Johnson; and brother, Charles David Marsh.

He is survived by his son, Scott Marsh (Theresa); three daughters, Becky Guy (Michael), both of Hartford, Amanda Darnell (Tony) of Suwanee, Ga., and Amy Marsh of Trenton, SC; mother, Mattie Reynolds Marsh of Samson; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and brother, Travis Marsh of Geneva.
