Mr. John “Billy” White, of Dothan, passed away Friday, September 2, 2016. He was 83.


 


Born December 7, 1932 in Houston County to the late Mack and Pearl Williford White, Mr. White enjoyed fishing and playing the guitar.


 


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mae Frank Averett and Maxine Cain; his brothers, Ray White, James White, Quinton White, Robert White, and Ralph White.


 


Survivors include his wife, Vivian White; his daughter, Carol (Bryant) Walding; his step-daughters, Denesa McCall and Alicia (David) Thompson; his sisters, Margaret (Ray) Carter and Mary Jo Knowles; his grandson, Michael Keith (Amber) Smith; his step-grandchildren, Brennan Walding, Caty Rose Walding, Rachel Walding, Jordon McCall, Christopher Thompson, and Hannah (Neil) Langgarrd; his great-grandchildren, Bailey and Torey; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


 


Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ruth Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM one hour prior to the service.


 


The family will be accepting flowers.
