Mr. John Jacobs of Dothan, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017.

 

Memorial service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. Visitation will follow.

 

Mr. Jacobs was born in Dothan and graduated from Dothan High School. He then earned a Master’s Degree in Psychology. John was a lifelong lover of music and played the bass guitar in numerous bands over his life.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thorsby A. Jacobs and Cleone Ennis Jacobs; older brother, Gerald Paul Jacobs; grandparents, Richard Tolbert and Sallie Barron Jacobs; Calvin Arthur and Ada Morrow Ennis.

 

He is survived by his sister, Carolyn Jacobs Conley, of Dothan; brothers, Joe Rex Jacobs (Jettie), of Richmond VA. and Jimmy Douglas Jacobs, of Montgomery; uncles, Henry D. Ennis (Nadine), of Defuniak, FL., Grover Jacobs (Nan), of Montgomery, Roland Jacobs (Micki), of Enterprise; aunts, Fan Jacobs Cohen, of Enterprise, Mary Jacobs Morgan, of Pensacola, FL.; nephews, Joshua and Jonas Jacobs, both of Montgomery.; niece, Amy Celeste Griffin, of Troy. And a multitude of cousins. 

 

The family will be accepting flowers.
