Mr. Johnny Eugene Martin, 92, a resident of Dothan, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, September 9, 2016 peacefully at his home.

 

Visitation will be at 10 A.M. and the funeral service to follow at 11 A.M. on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Rehobeth Baptist Church with Reverend Travis Free officiating. Burial will follow in Rehobeth Cemetery.

 

Mr. Johnny was born on July 29, 1924 in Dothan, AL to Grady and Cora B. Martin. He resided in the Rehobeth area most of his life and graduated from Rehobeth High School in 1943. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Cora B. Martin; sisters, Elouise McLain and Ruth Branton; and brother, Bobby Martin.

 

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Evelyn Bowden Martin of Dothan; his daughter, Becky Odom (Ronald); 2 sons, Danny Martin (Ann) and Wayne Martin (Kathy); his sisters, Merle Harrell and Sarah Dooling; his sister-in-law, Katie Martin; his 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and other numerous nieces and nephews.
