 Mr. Michael Eugene Bowers of Samson passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Flowers Hospital. He was 46.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2015 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Earles officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time. 

Flowers will be accepted or contributions made be made in memory of Mr. Bowers to your favorite charity. 

Mr. Bowers was born in Greenville, AL on October 28, 1968 to the late Gene Monroe Bowers and Hilda Fay Bowen Bowers. Michael was a graduate of Samson High School class of 1988. He then worked a number of years at Greens Sod Farm. Michael loved working on and restoring old trucks. As a devoted father spending time with his two sons was very special to him. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church in Samson. 

Survivors include his two sons: Tyler Michael Bowers (Tierra) and Austin Shane Bowers both of Samson; mother, Hilda B. Bowers, Samson; granddaughter, Emerald Denise Bowers, Samson; two brothers: Joey Monroe Bowers, Samson and Steven Ray Bowers, Hartford; two nieces: Brooke and Brittney Bowers, Hartford; number of special aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends.
