Obituary:  Mr. Noble Ray Hammond 

Mr. Noble Ray Hammond of Enterprise passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at his home.  He was 88. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00p.m. on Sunday, June 9, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Ministers Harold Bigham and Billy McKee officiating.  Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Geneva directing.  

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. 

Mr. Hammond was born on October 14, 1924 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Harvey B. Hammond Sr. and Hattie Pass Hammond.  He was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed farming and raising cattle. He will be greatly missed. 

In addition to his parents, one sister, Frances Hammond and three brothers: Harvey B. Hammond Jr., Hugo Hammond and William D. Hammond preceded him in death. 

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Inez Hammond, Enterprise; daughter, Debora Hammond Quiring (Rob), Enterprise; grandson, Sean Leonard (Margaret), Huntsville; several nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends. 

Pallbearers will be: Sean Leonard, Rob Quiring, Merwyn Maloy, Adrian Gillis, Jimmie Ray Wise and Ken Sutley.
