Mr. Otis Earl Kirkland of Cottonwood passed away Friday, November 6, 2015. He was 81.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend John Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 P.M. Sunday, November 8, 2015, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your local church or your favorite charity.

 

Mr. Kirkland was a member of First Baptist Church Cottonwood.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents Coleman Kirkland and Vera Hamrick Kirkland, sister Mathel Kirkland and a granddaughter April Kirkland.

 

Survivors include his wife of 62 years Dora Kirkland of Cottonwood; daughter Gail Morgan and her husband Jimmy of Luverne; son Ronald Kirkland of Cottonwood; brother Gene Kirkland, grandchildren Jason Kirkland, Devin Walley, and Garrett Walley, and two great-grandchildren Logan Kirkland and Anna Leigh Kirkland.

 

Pallbearers will be Jason Kirkland, Logan Kirkland, Devin Walley, Garrett Walley, Jimmy Morgan, and Dennis Kirkland.
