On July 31, 2014 the Lord called a good friend and brother up to Heaven. 

He was born in Memphis, TN near Beale St. in 1958.  His family moved to Dothan in 1968, but he kept his love for Memphis music in his heart.  He was an avid blues music fan and had a vast knowledge of all music recordings and dates. 

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Evan D. and June Doris John of Dothan, and a brother, Mark. 

He is survived by three brothers:  Steve (Laura), Dothan; Paul (Barbara), Auburn; and David (Sharon), Tuscaloosa and two special nieces Stevie Marie and Heather Lea Cowen. 

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Blues Heaven Foundation, 2120 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL  60616. 

Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
