Mr. Ralph A. Davis, a resident of Samson, went home to be with his Lord Sunday, March 10, 2013.  He was 92.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Piney Grove Assembly of God Church with Rev. Calvin Sherrouse and Rev. Larry Graham officiating.  Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.  Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Piney Grove Assembly of God Church Cemetery Fund.


 Mr. Davis was born in Geneva County on May 12, 1920 to the late Andrew Jackson and Bessie Hopkins Davis.  He was a charter member of Piney Grove Assembly of God Church and was a lifelong farmer.  He was a veteran WWII and the Korean War.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Robbie Nell Jones Davis; and all five of his siblings.  He was the last of his generation.


 He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Wyatt (Bobby) of Enterprise and Nellwyn Peters (Woody) of Kinsey; son, Kenneth Davis (Fran) of Samson; nine grandchildren, Wendy Kriese (Pat) of Cortland, IL, Brian Peters of Troy, Diann Reeves(Terry) of Enterprise, Tobi Davis of Victoria, AL, Andrew Wyatt of Enterprise, Dana Money of Headland, Ginger Peters of Kinsey, Lucas Davis (Kayla) of Troy and Darrell Wyatt (Myra) of Tuscaloosa; twelve great grandchildren, Anthony, Cameron and Hunter Kriese of Cortland, IL, Kade, Slade, Eli and Lydia Grace Money of Headland, Alexsis and Catherine Reeves of Enterprise, Dylan Davis of Victoria, Crystal Wyatt of Tuscaloosa and Davis Allen Douglas of Kinsey; two sisters-in-law, Mary Davis and Margarene Davis, both the Piney Grove Community; and numerous nieces and nephews.
