Mr. Raymond R. Driggers, age 90 a resident of Ashford, AL (formerly of Auburndale, FL) died Thursday, September 12, 2013 following an extended illness.

 

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. (EDT) Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the Auburndale Memorial Park Cemetery in Auburndale, FL with Reverend Raymond R. Ready officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Dothan directing.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Pen Florida Royal Rangers Section 11 in Auburndale, FL.

 

Mr. Driggers was born on May 2, 1923 in Groveland, Florida the son of John J. Driggers and Mabel L. Scott Driggers.  He was a retired teacher, Assembly of God Minister and a U.S. Army Veteran.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Mary Pearl Golden Driggers.

 

Survivors include: son, Larry Driggers (Victoria), Ashford, AL; daughter, Sharon Mary Blanton (Jimmy), Suwanee, GA; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and brother, Bobby Driggers, Polk City, FL.
