Remus Michael Jenkins, a resident of Pansey, died Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 69.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Jenkins will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Reverends Stephen Peacock and Marrell Turvin officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. of Olives Cemetery in Cottonwood, AL. The family will receive friends tonight Monday, February 23, 2015 from 6 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home.

 

Mr. Jenkins was born November 5, 1945 in Hodgesville, Alabama to Cary and Jewel Givens Jenkins. He was a 1964 graduate of Rehobeth High School and worked for CSX Railroad and retired after 37 years of service. Mr. Jenkins enjoyed woodworking and anything dealing with the outdoors. He was a member of Love Hill Assembly of God Church.

 

Survivors include his wife, Sue Jenkins, Pansey; daughter, Susan Renea Jenkins, Pansey; two sons, Troy Remus Jenkins (Susan), Sharpsburg, NC, Brian Cary Jenkins (Misty), Graceville, FL, grandchildren, Lance Andrew Sharron (Kirsty), Koren Sharron (Steven), Elizabeth Jenkins (Devin), Tray Jenkins, Blair Lacy, Courtney, Jake, Breanna Warren, Kameron Blake McCord, Jessalyn Abigail Jenkins; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Melba Fears (Nick), Headland.
