Mr. Reynolds Hawkins passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015. He was 81.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Doug Seale officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 – 2 P.M. Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Flowers will be accepted.

Mr. Reynolds Hawkins was born on July 13, 1933 in Dothan, AL to the late Joseph R. Hawkins and Emma (Gibson) Hawkins. He served his country proudly in the Navy. Mr. Hawkins raised a family in Miami, FL and retired from Metro Dade County Transit after 35 years. He then returned to God’s country as he called it Sweet Home Alabama for the last 20 years.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life of 48 years Margaret Hawkins, parents, sisters Rebecca McKay, Beatrice Kyser, brothers Robert Hawkins, G.W. Hawkins and Floyd Hawkins.

Survivors include daughters Sherry Saunders of Wicksburg, AL; Kim Hawkins Beguiristain and her husband Oscar of Miami, FL; son Joe Hawkins of Miami, FL; grandchildren Brittany Saunders (Adam Carter) of Wicksburg, AL; nieces Hazel Bell, Emma Whitehead, Joyce Johnson, special great-nephew Billy Scott.

Pallbearers will be Chris Johnson, Mike Johnson, Billy Scott, Bobby Scott, Adam Carter and Shane Proctor.
