Mr. Richard Albert Snyder, age 75, a resident of Dothan, died early Sunday January 18, 2015 at the SAMC following an extended illness.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday January 24, 2015 at the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jerry Walker officiating and Kendall Glover directing.
The family will be receiving friends at the Glover Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 915 East Chase Pkwy. #366, Montgomery, AL. 36117.
Mr. Snyder was born on August 9, 1939 in New Jersey the son of Albert & Hazel Mullany Snyder. He moved to Dothan from Melbourne, Florida in 1972. Mr. Snyder transferred to Dothan with Sears where he worked for a total of 20 years prior to owning and operating Clarks Cabinet Shop in Dothan for 15 years. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia and was of Presbyterian faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include: wife, Judy Snyder, Dothan; son, Ricky Snyder (Jodi), Palm Harbor, FL.; daughter, Mary Beth Snyder, The Villages, FL.; 2 step-sons, Chris Salter (Sharon), Ashford; Michael Park, Johnson City, Tn.; step-daugther, Susan Caine, Headland; 3 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 3 step great-grandchildren.
