Obituary: Robert Allen Brown

 

 

Kentucky Colonel Robert Allen Brown went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 20, 2013. He was 70. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22 in Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hosea Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Burns Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to your favorite charity.

 Mr. Brown was born April 9, 1943 in Logan, WV to the late Robert C. and Marjorie Smith Brown. He attended Malvern Baptist Church. 

Survivors include his wife of 21 years Joan Brown; three children; two step-children: Marcy Mitchell and James Staymates; four grandchildren: Taylor, Kayla, Skyler and Alex; two sisters: Debbie Nolder and Sandi Lewfew. 

Active pall bearers will be Johnny Mack Hughes, James Hall, Harold Fondren, Bob Williams, Marty Glover and James Bedsole. 

Honorary Pall bearers will be the Malvern Baptist Church Adult Sunday school class. 

Robert will be loved and missed by everyone who knew him.  We will love him “Infinity”!
