 Mr. Robert Herschel Tew, age 82,  of Dothan, died Thursday, August 6, 2015 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday August 9, 2015 at the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Jones and Rev. Tim Willis officiating.  Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery (Hwy. 431 North) with Kendall Glover directing.

The family will be receiving friends at Glover Funeral Home Chapel from 2 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Sunday prior to services.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church, 1231 Fortner St., Dothan, Al. 36301 or to the Greengate School, 2800 Poplar Ave. N.W. Unit B, Huntsville, Al. 35816.

Mr. Tew was born on July 22, 1933 in Headland the son of Henry Orlander Tew and Altha Walker Tew.  He retired as a Type Setter with the Dothan Eagle after 43 years of service.  Mr. Tew was a 1951 graduate of Headland High School, a member of the Circle City Coin Club and a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margie Bond Tew; 5 sisters, Alma, Annie Mae, Myrtle, Lela and Attie Lou; a brother, Hubert.

Survivors include: daughter, Cathy Henderson (Larry), Dothan; a son, Norm Tew (Kathi), Madison; a brother, Deleon Tew (Frances), Eufaula; 4 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a special friend, Catherine Sanders, Louisville.
