Mr. Robert Leon Goss, age 74, a resident of Cowarts died Saturday, April 19, 2014 at his residence. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at Glover Funeral Home with the Reverend Scottie Hatcher officiating and Kendall Glover directing. 

The family will be receiving friends from 12:45 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Wednesday in Glover Funeral Home’s Chapel prior to services.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, AL  36111. 

Mr. Goss was born on April 27, 1939 in Montgomery, Alabama the son of Benjamin Dewey Goss and Lula Hestor Harrison Goss.  He was a 1959 Graduate of Billingsley High School.  Mr. Goss owned Ace Plumbing and Electric for twenty years and worked for eleven years at Farley Nuclear Plant. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dale Goss; two brothers, Grady and Nathan Goss; two sisters, Runell Nelson and Frances Williams. 

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joan Rawlinson Goss, Cowarts; two sons, Chris Goss (Brandi), Ashford; Robert Douglas, Tampa, FL; daughter, Carol Edwards, Tampa, FL; sister, Sara Glenn, Luka, MS; grandchildren, Aleigha Goss, Ashleigh Tate (Dustin) and Alizabeth Goss; two great-grandchildren, Kooper Goss and Kase Tate. 

Asked to serve as Honorary pallbearers: Roger Moss, Rodney Burdeshaw and Wallace Odom. 

Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
