Obituary: Mr. Rossie Thomas "Junior" Wells

Mr. Rossie Thomas "Junior" Wells of Dothan passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Extendicare. He was 84. 


Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 23, at Taylor  Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Rev. Andy Wood officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing. 


The family will receive friends at Taylor Assembly of God Church on Monday, December 22 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. 


Mr. Wells was born October 18, 1930 in Houston County to the late George Rossie and Dollie Sims Wells. Junior and his father, "Mr. Rossie" founded Wells Tractor Company in the early 1950’s and had a great impact on the farming community in the Southeast. 


Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Sara Cheshire Wells; two sons: Billy Wells (Sue) and Mark Wells (Joy); six grandchildren: Aaron, Hanna, Sarah Beth, Laura, Suzannah and Summer; ten great-grandchildren; other extended family and friends.
