Mr. Rudolph Tyler of Coffee Springs Road, Samson, Alabama passed away Friday, May 16, 2014.  He was 83.


Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2014, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Jimmy Eddins and Sister Wynese Lolley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, May 18, from 6 until 8 p.m.


Mr. Tyler was born January 24, 1931, in Geneva County, Alabama to the late Ralph L. and Thelma Floyd Matthews Tyler.  He enjoyed fishing and simply loved the outdoors, especially working in the yard.  He was known for never leaving the house without wearing his white cap.  Mr. Tyler was of the Assembly of God faith.


In addition to his parents, five brothers: Raymond, Earl, Gerald, Terrell Edward and Randy Tyler, as well as one sister, Arma Jean Wade, all preceded him in death.


Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Wannell Jones Tyler; one daughter, Shannon Henderson; two grandsons: Tyler Skinner and Brayden Henderson; one great-granddaughter, Kate Skinner, all of Samson; one sister, Sherry Glover and husband Charlie, Sylacauga, AL; several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law who were all very special to him, as well as other extended family and friends.
