Mr. Sam Dowling Carroll of Dothan passed away Monday, April 7, 2014, at his residence. He was 80.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 A.M. Wednesday, April 9, 2014, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church, Clopton, Covenant Hospice, or to Calvary Baptist Church.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert D and Mary Pitts Carroll, sisters, Louise Carroll Bryan, Yvonne Carroll Clark, Elizabeth Carroll Wilkinson, and a brother, Hugh Don Carroll.

 

Survivors include his wife Vanarah Baxley Carroll of Dothan; daughter Samanda Carroll Redman of Dothan;  son and daughter-in-law Lee Van (Ashley) Carroll of Dothan; sister Tommie Henderson of Ozark; grandchildren Van Carroll, Katy Redman, Dylan Redman, Anna Carroll, and great-grandchild Tanner Lee.
