Mr. Steven Leon Thomas, age 63, a resident of Dothan, passed unexpectedly Saturday April 2, 2016.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday April 7, 2016 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Reverend Troy West officiating and Kendall Glover of Glover Funeral Home directing.

The family will be receiving friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday at Glover Funeral Home prior to services.  Flowers will be accepted.

Mr. Thomas was born on November 1, 1952 in West Palm Beach, Florida the son of Houston D. Thomas and J’Laine Fuller Thomas.  He was a 1971 graduate of Dothan High School and received a Business Degree from Troy State University.  Mr. Thomas worked for over 20 years in the newspaper industry including the Dothan Eagle.  He later worked with State Farm Insurance Company as an Adjuster for several years; he was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was active with the Circle K Club at Wallace College when he was a student.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include: daughter, Sarah Ashlyn Thomas Keene, Colorado Springs, CO.; son, Christopher Ryan Thomas (Robin), Warner Robins, GA.; mother, J’Laine Fuller Thomas, Dothan; sister, Jennifer Thomas Hardy (Mark), Dothan; 3 grandchildren, Elliot Spencer Thomas, Rebecca Jade Thomas and Brody Riley Keene; niece, Lynsey Hardy; nephew, Seth Hardy (Abby); loving companion, Beverly Levy of Panama City Beach, Florida.

Pallbearers will be: Joe Daughtry, Tommy Buck, Rick Creamer, Mark Hardy, Critt Snellgrove, and Keith Williams.

Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
