Mr. Thomas Leroy Nichols, Jr. of Dothan passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016. He was 86.

 

Born April 13, 1929 in Lenoir, NC to the late Thomas Leroy Nichols, Sr. and Myra Lucille White, Tom loved his family, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a graduate of Auburn University and an avid Auburn football fan. After serving his country in the Korean War, Tom spent most of his life in Dothan where he was a sales agent for Mutual of New York. But most importantly, Tom loved witnessing to others about the Lord.

 

Survivors include his wife of 48 years,Vonceil Nichols of Dothan; daughter, Kathryn Walker of Dothan; son, Thomas L. Nichols III of Dothan; his grandchildren, Thomas L. Nichols IV, Nicholas Walker, and Jonathan Walker; great-grandchildren, Jackson Lee Walker, and Tiler Walker.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, February, March 4, 2016 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Delvecchio and Pastor John D. Reese III officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 to 2 P.M. prior to the service.

 

Family will be accepting flowers or contributions can be made to Christ Church International, Dothan AL.
