Tom Earley of Geneva passed away at Flowers Hospital in Dothan on Thursday, January 1, 2015.  He was 67.  A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2015 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva.  A eulogy will be delivered by Mr. Frankie Lindsey.  The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Geneva High School Quarterback Club, c/o Britt Finch, PO Box 206, Geneva, AL 36340. 

Tom was born in Dothan, Ala. on April 15, 1947 to the late Carlos and Hazel Morris Earley.  In 1965 Tom graduated from Geneva High School where he was a member of the football team.  He retired from Alabama Power after more than thirty-nine years of service.  While he was working with Alabama Power, Tom helped countless people and the City of Geneva with everything from hanging Christmas lights to restoring power.    He also served two terms as a Geneva City Councilman.  He enjoyed fishing and hanging out with his lifelong friends down at the Smokehouse.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Carlos Earley. 

He is survived by his wife of twenty-four years, Sue Moore Earley of Geneva; two sons, Drew McBride (Jennifer) of Hoover and Robbie Carnley (Terri) of Florala; five daughters, Allison Earley of Florala; Nancy Galloway (Craig), Amy Carnley, Jenera Owens and Renee Clemmons (Tony), all of Geneva; fifteen grandchildren; and many cousins and friends.
