Wilburn Johnny Mullins of Samson, AL passed away at his residence on Thursday, February 13, 2014. He was 82. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home, Samson, AL with the Rev. Wynese Lolley officiating and grandson, Jerry (Marty) Hysmith delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow at Travelers Rest Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 14^th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Mullins was born on March 1, 1931 to the late Chambrus Victor Mullins and Dovie Walker. After serving in the United States Army during the Korean War, Mr. Mullins worked in the construction business as a carpenter. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Deloris Ann White and Brenda Barnette, and one brother, Ray Mullins.

He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Mullins of Samson; one daughter, Waunda Billington (Brian); one step-daughter, Linda Norwood; two sons, Donnie Mullins, and James Mullins (Elsie); one brother, James Mullins (Pat) of Jacksonville, FL; thirteen grandchildren: and numerous great grandchildren.
