Mr. Wiley Edward Jackson, a resident of Wiregrass Nursing Home in Geneva, passed away Monday, November 3, 2014.  He was 86.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2014 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Jimmy Eddins officiating.  Burial will follow in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.  

Mr. Jackson was born in Pike County, Ala. on February 4, 1928 to the late Dink and Georgia Mae Burkett Jackson.  He was a Christian who worked hard his whole life.  In his pastime he loved to go fishing and enjoyed gardening.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Evie Nadine Jackson; two sons, Jimmy Jackson and Bobby Jackson; three sisters, Irene Jackson, Rutha Mae Bundrick and Ida Bell McCall; and two brothers, Clarence Jackson and Howard Jackson. 

He is survived by his son, Jackie Jackson and wife, Regina of Irving, Tex.; nine grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
