Willie B. Watford, 96, of Cottonwood, Alabama, died Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Extendicare Health and Rehabilitation Center.

 

Mr. Watford was born in Madrid, May 9, 1919, the son of Johnny and Alice Watford, He grew up in Madrid where he operated a general mercantile store for a number of years. He was a veteran of World War II and a lifelong member of Madrid United Methodist Church.

 

He is survived by his wife, Myra Watford and two sisters, Louise Watson and Helen Miller, several nieces and nephews.

 

A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Madrid Senior Center, Madrid, Alabama.
