Mr. Willie Frank Carter of Slocomb passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017. He was 83.


Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the New Holy Temple Church of God in Christ in Slocomb with Elder Dempsey officiating. 


Mr. Carter was a member of New Holy Temple Church of God in Christ. He was born to Hettie Ree Grice and George Carter. He was born in Abbeville on January 6, 1934.


He is preceded in death by his wife Lorene Carter.


Survivors include his mother Hettie Ree Grice of Dothan; daughters Barbara Ann Faison of Miami, FL.; Joyce Perryman and her husband Sam of Dothan; Gloria Williams and her husband Charles of Panama City, Fl.; Debbie Boyd and her husband Joe of Kansas City, KS.; Frankie Fegan and her husband Isaic of Slocomb; sons Jimmy Wilburn and his wife Gussie Springfield of Dothan; Jimmy Lee Carter and his wife Tina of Slocomb; David Carter of Slocomb; sister Annie Loise Brooks of Dillon, SC; brothers Bobbie Carter of Dothan; John Henry Carter and his wife Sheila of Newport News, VA.; grandchildren Oreo Faison, Joyce Tilman, Tommy Blandenberg, Latasha Blandenberg, Orlando Carter, Jason Pugh, Demeka Pugh, Jody Hayes, Mary Johnson, Jimmy Johnson, Vicky Johnson, Brittany Williams, Chad Williams, Ladaviana Carter, Jalonda Lawson, great-grandchildren Shamara Johnson, Ladarran Blandenburg, Nichols Johnson, Tyrese Johnson, Keyona Johnson, Zane Dubose, Zara Dubose, Jaylen Williams, great-great-grandchild Olivia Blandenburg.
