Obituary: Mr. Winfred Eugene "Gene" Williamson

 

Mr. Winfred Eugene "Gene" Williamson of Slocomb lost his battle with cancer Sunday, November 15, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends.  He was 63. 

The family will host a friends and family gathering at the home of Gene’s brother, Mike (391 Capps Road in Hartford) at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015. In lieu of flowers the family request that you make charitable donations to Benny or Wade Williamson to help with Gene’s final expenses. 

Gene was born February 10, 1952 in Houston County to the late Freddie Clinton and Eunice Pauline Coker Williamson. He was a life-long Alabama football fan and he loved his family and friends dearly.  Gene will be greatly missed. 

Survivors include his brothers: Wayne, Wade, Ronnie, Benny and Mike Williamson; several nieces, nephews, other extended family and many close friends.
