Mrs. Annie Katherine Monaghan of Geneva, Alabama passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013.  She was 76.


Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 7, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Richard Lawson and Bro. Doug Tidwell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery in Daleville with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, June 6, from 6 until 8 p.m.


Mrs. Monaghan was born April 8, 1937, in Dale County, Alabama, the last surviving child of the late Wiley Lloyd and Cora Lee Patterson Harrison.  She loved her family dearly and was very devoted to them.  Her favorite pastime was fishing.


In addition to her parents a son, Danny Monaghan, one great-grandson, Hunter Lee Connelly, four brothers and three sisters, all preceded her in death.


Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Bryan Hughes Monaghan, Amory, MS; two daughters: Kathy Monaghan, Chancellor, and Brenda Monaghan Silva (Aaron), Geneva; two sons: Robert Lloyd Monaghan (Linda), Geneva, and Bobby Wade Monaghan, Birmingham; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
