Obituary: Audrey Monks Trinker

 

Mrs. Audrey Monks Trinker of Enterprise passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015 at her home surrounded by family.  She was 88.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany with Father John Withrock Jr. officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 4 until 7 pm. Flowers will be accepted or contributions can be made to a charity of your choice. 

The family will all be gathering at Mrs. Trinker’s residence at 303 Colonial Drive, Enterprise, Alabama 36330.

Mrs. Trinker was born April 25, 1926 in Allen Park, Michigan to the late Harry and Elizabeth Wain Monks.  In addition to her parents, her husband, George Edward Trinker, grandson, Jason Edward Livings, brothers, Harry A. Monks Jr. and Eric Monks all preceded her in death.

Survivors include three daughters: Gwen E. Trinker, Gail E. Thomas (Farrell), Audrey T. McMillin all of Enterprise, three grandchildren: Stephanie L. Wells (Greg), Dothan, Audrey Tanelle McMillin (Jonathan Cortis), Jacksonville, AL, Joshua George Trinker, Korea; step-grandaughter, Tanya Thomas Bowden (Alan), Enterprise; two great-grandchildren, Alexander Jason Wells, Dothan, Ayla Yea Ling Trinker, Enterprise; four step-great-grandchildren, Mattie and Dawson Bowden, Haley Thomas, Enterprise, John Austin Thomas, Seth, Cole, and Caroline Cortis, all of Birmingham, AL; special son-in-law, Samuel Edward McMillin, Cedar Bluff, AL, cousin, Joan Taylor, Salford, England as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to say a special thanks to Nelson Gwinn, M.D., his staff and Southern Care Hospice.
