Ms. Bessie Aurelia Tew Lane of Dothan, passed away on April 27, 2015, after a long illness. Graveside services will be Wed. April 29, at 2 P.M. from Gardens of Memory Cemetery, with Reverend Ricky Plummer officiating. Family will receive friends at their home following the service.


Ms. Lane was born August 8, 1937 to the late, James W. and Essie Mae Pitts Tew, of Barbour county AL.


She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers J.L. and Charles Tew. She is survived by her spouse of 30 years Mr. Holman “Jim” Waters of Dothan, daughter, Delilah Lane, step-daughter Fran Cunningham, step-son Jim (Kim) Waters, grandchildren Chase, Cole, Aaron and Michael Waters, sister-in-law Gladys Tew Corbin, niece Wanda (Charles) Collins and great nephew Dwayne Collins (Melissa Egnew) great niece Michelle Brunson and daughter Summer Dunhan. Niece, Maxine (Porter) Jackson, great nephew Andrew (Devon) Jackson and children Madison, Donovan, Nathan and Bailey.


Nephew Randy (Helen) Tew and children Becky, Sarah, Autumn, and Jesse.
