Mrs. Betty Harrell Galloway of Dothan passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016. She was 79.

 

Ms. Betty was a member of Grandview Baptist Church and was raised in Houston County by her late parents, Charlie and Pouncie Harrell . She was a loving, devoted and military wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was full of life and loved to cook, garden, the beach and spending time with her loved ones.

 

In addition to her parents, Ms. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Lamon D. Galloway; her sisters, Ethel Holland, and Edna Ball; brother, Houston Harrell.

 

Survivors include her daughters, Debra Coker (Tim) and Sandra Galloway; her grandchildren, Jennifer Newman (Jason), Jessica Franklin (Miles), Robby Cain (Ashley), Hunter Hamm, Josh Coker, Greg Coker; great-grandchildren, Kennadie and Mollie Newman, Aiden, Gage & Maeleigh Cain, Davanee; others, many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

 

Serving as active pallbearers will be Robby Cain, Jason Newman, Hunter Hamm, Miles Franklin, Josh Coker.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, January 20, 2016.Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Resource Center 1314 Westgate Pkwy St. 2, P.O. Box 1170 Dothan, AL 36302.
