Mrs. Betty Lou Brookins of Cottonwood went home to be with her Lord June 21, 2015. She was 82.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the Westgate Church of Christ with Todd Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Ramer Cemetery in Cottonwood, AL with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday, June 23, 2015, one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted.

Mrs. Brookins was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved serving her community and her church family.

She is preceded in death by the love of her life of 54 years Charles David Brookins her parents Artie Crawford Watford and Gladys Collins Watford, and brother Murry LaMarrow Watford.

Survivors include her children Pam Pelham (Tommy), Lynn Brookins (Susan), LaDonna Hart (Terry), brothers Charles Watford, Jerry Watford, sister Sarah Kaye, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
