Mrs. Betty Lou Peeples Weeks, age 81 of Dothan passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at Noland Hospital.


A memorial service for Mrs. Weeks will be held at Cloverdale Baptist Church on Thursday April 9, 2015 at 2PM with Reverend Steve Skidmore officiating.


In lieu of flowers the family request contributions to the Cloverdale Baptist Church General Fund at 806 Dexter Street, Dothan, AL 36301.


Mrs. Betty was born in Coffee County. She was employed with Sony Corp. and retired after 20 years of service. Mrs. Betty was loved by many and enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and was known for generously sharing her famous pecan pies.


The greatest joy in Mrs. Betty’s life was her son Rickey. That love was mutual and evident in the tireless care Rickey gave to his mother during her illness. Mrs. Betty cherished spending time with her brothers and sisters and loved her dog Gauge.


Mrs. Betty was a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church and a devoted member of her Sunday School Class.


She was preceded in death by her parents Ovie and Bertha Mae Lisenby Peeples and her her husband of over 30 years, Carlton Weeks.


She is survived by her son Rickey Weeks of Dothan, sister Peggy (Melvin) Salyers of Lakeland, FL, two brothers Kenny (Lynn) Peeples of Brandon, FL, and Larry (Angela) Peeples of Durant, FL, one grandson Joshua Tyler Dillard of London, England and several nieces and nephews.
